Clayton is a rapidly growing town, the largest in Johnston County, North Carolina. It is located about twenty minutes east of Raleigh and has gone from a bedroom community to a vibrant town with diverse industries and large employers such as Caterpillar, maker of heavy equipment, Grifols, a global manufacturer of plasma and Novo Nordisk a world leader in diabetes treatment.
Clayton has been proactive in allocated land for parks, trails and sports to improve the lives of it’s residents and they have embarked on a fantastic trail system that starts in downtown, runs along the Neuse river and ties into the Wake County trail system eventually you will be able to walk or bike into Raleigh.
