C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\buyer.pngWe talk to many First Time Home Buyers who are READY to get a new house, but just don’t know where to start.  Especially as we begin 2013, and we’re seeing more and more of a shift toward a sellers’ market in Raleigh.  Some communities are extremely strong for sellers, others not-so-much but, many are neutral.

Buyers are seriously shopping for those homes for sale this month as we are coming upon the typically hotter markets of the Spring in Raleigh Cary Home Sales.  For many of the First Time Homebuyers we talk to – CASH is a common “barrier” keeping them from buying a home.

NC has one of the VERY BEST First Time Home Buyer Programs in the Country.  There are a few requirements, but for the most part, it’s pretty easy to find a home that qualifies, and the underwriting guidelines for the program are pretty sweet too!

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

Waverly Place Renovation

Waverly Place Renovation

Plans to start all over at Waverly Place have been nixed as the financial crunch has limited the amount of money the new owners are willing to pay to renovate the 23 year old shopping center.

I for one am glad to hear it. I do not understand the need to tear everything down and start over.  (How green is that anyway?) We are definitely a disposable society aren’t we.

Waverly Place has a distinct look and the plans to make it a much more outdoor friendly space with waterfalls, edge pools, fire pits, a playground, space for a stage and a large lawn are a great idea in my opinion. (As a father of a 2 year old and 5 year old that is)  very exciting to me! [Read more…]
