Neighborhood Facts
Carpenter Village, a 300-acre Planned Unit Development, was approved in 1996 as Cary’s first neo-Traditional Neighborhood Design, using many of the principles taught by the advocates of the New Urbanism. Carpenter Village includes 930 residential units, 110,000 square feet of retail and 46,000 square feet of office uses in the Village Core commercial area, and, north of Morrisville-Carpenter Road, approximately 800,000 square feet of Business Park uses and 248,000 square feet of office uses.
Carpenter Village is located in West Cary, with easy access to RTP (Research Triangle Park), home to many of the world’s largest companies. The location is also conducive to some of the best shopping the area has to offer. The Streets at Southpoint mall is considered by many to be one of the best shopping centers in the Triangle.
Carpenter Village also offers a townhome community called Legacy at Carpenter Village. This wonderful community offers 60 ranch townhomes with a very affordable starting price in the 160’s and features a community pool and cabana, streetscapes with sidewalks and street lamps, and professionally landscaped and maintained commons area.
